So, I was thinking that many of you may be thinking about resolutions for 2015. Maybe it is just thoughts of improving yourself that have crossed your mind as one year rolls to the next. In any case, I think, based on years of pastoral conversations, that people often wish they could do better at forgiving others. It is after all a very clear command from Jesus himself. It is a central practice of the Christian faith, even if we Christians are not any better at it than anyone else.
Father Richard Rohr is a wise and widely recognized spiritual teacher and his words in a recent interview gave me pause; it challenged me; it centered me on the difficult reality of practicing forgiveness. Hope you find the same in The Truth About the People You Can’t Forgive.
Peace,
Tim
